We
were picked up about 10:00 for our transfer to the Lanzarote airport for our
flight to North Tenerife. While flying out of Lanzarote we could see many volcanic craters around the island.
It was rather bumpy coming in for the landing and it turns out they are having rainy weather here today.

The
rain lightened up as we got into Santa Cruz de Tenerife, capital of the Canary
Islands. We have great views from our 7th floor room. It overlooks a park and the city and ocean
beyond. We opted for a light lunch at a
café in the park. Paul opted for what he
thought was a grilled cheese sandwich.
Turned out it was just grilled cheese.
Very good cheese but just cheese nonetheless. Fortunately they brought a basket of rolls as
well so he could make little sandwiches.
We walked a bit but didn’t see much in the way of other restaurants in the area. We will have to ask at the reception desk about dining options.

We
spent most of the rest of the day in the room relaxing and working on the
blogs.
